Depends on how generalized you want the answer. General answer spices used, ingredients, combination degree of acid vs sweet vs. umami vs savory vs spicy. Cooking method (boil, pay fry, steam and etc), types of carb used , and etc. It's going to take too long to answer in detail given China has ~8 types cuisine itself not counting Americanized Chinese food. Its like asking what's the difference between BBQ and mid western steak house. They both use beef, and some have a sauce, cooked over heat but the nuisance between these two (not to mention all different types of BBQ) is not something that can be summed up in a post easily.
Tree garden is as good as it's gonna get, imo. Jang guem on bellaire isn't good quality but good for the price lol. With all the diverse food places we have, Hou has pretty mediocre Korean food. As much as it hurts me to say, Dallas is much better for Korean.
Dallas (Carrolton actually ) has their own Koreatown over by 635 (LBJ Frwy) and 35E (Stemmons Frwy). I still think Houston's unofficial Koreatown dominates though
It was not . .. I have eaten I think all . . .. . I am not overly adventurous in what I eat and I don't eat seafood Thai and Vietnamese seem to use more cucumbers than Japanese or Chinese I think they maybe spicier as well . .. . . then again . . . I think I have only ever had the Americanized versions Rocket River
Try Charm up north in Austin. AYCE with three tiers starting at $25-$50. Unlike Jin in Houston, it’s not sitting out; they bring you each order to your table. It does slow down the intake (can only order I believe three things at once) but it’s pretty good quality and not what you’d expect from typical AYCE.
Korean and Thai are spicy, but in different ways Korean has the best BBQ Japanese and Vietnamese are not very spicy Thai and Vietnamese both use a lot of coriander (ugh) Korean and Japanese do not use coriander They all use rice, but different types - Korean and Japanese rice is more round and sticky More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Asian_cuisines
