In today's paper, it was mentioned that Orlando would trade Grant Hill for C-Webb. Any truth to that? They'd still be able to sign Davis with the 5 million.

    Not necesarily-darily,

I was reading an article in todays chronicle I believe about the teams in the Webber sweepstakes. Where it said if Orlando was to get Webber it would be by sign and trade involving Grant Hill and cap fillers.

That is a pretty good deal for Sacramento.

And I could see them doing that kind of deal if any, via sign and trade.

    Thats just my two cents.

That's scary. Such a deal would be a great bargain for both teams. Orlando already has a SG/SF type superstar in Tracy McGrady... he and Hill are a bit redundant, and Hill has missed a year.

But Orlando would be receiving one of the VERY few players in the league who could be considered as good as Webber.

Wow. This really frightens me now. It just makes too much SENSE.

Grant Hill being a small forward, and Peja being a small forward (ideally), you might have to get another team in there. I don't know if Orlando would do that to Grant unless another team was found where he wanted to go.

And yet, other trades could happen, too, so, anything is possible.

    But would Orlando do that?

I thought the title of this thread meant Orlando was out of the picture in get Chris Webber. [IMG]

You guys are coming up with scenarios in which Orlando gets C-Webb. [IMG]

That is one scary team with C-Webb and Tracy McGrady.

Don't forget that Sacto would much rather Webber go to the East so they only have to face him twice a year. I see no reason why Orlando wouldn't deal Hill for Webber other than maybe Grant's not to keen on the city of Sacto.

Don't forget the possibility of Webber going to Miami, who could send B. Grant to the Kings. Sacto really has nothing to gain by dealing Webber to Houston because our only real bait is Maurice Taylor who is inferior to the likes of Hill, Grant, and Allan Houston.

Our only real chance of landing Webber in Houston is if he outright demands: I WANT TO BE A ROCKET. In this case the Kings will have to settle for our pathetic Cato,Walt+pick package. Don't get your hopes up though.
