    Hoping James makes it.

I’d be leaning Straw over Gattis. Gattis has the potential to get hot and be very productive, but will he have that opportunity?

Can they re-do this every series?

the thing that you can take away from them is that they genuinely like each other

I obviously don’t want to overlook Boston, but I feel like there is this sense of inevitability with this series, and the World Series. This has never happened with a Houston team before.

No way you can leave Peacock off of the ALCS roster. I’d take James after him. Then Rondon.

    Harris gets left out.

Also I’d rather have Gattis over Straw. But really there’s no way we can roll without a third catcher. So it basically has to be Gattis. It’s fine. Kemp or Marisnick can pinch run if necessary.

Harris didn't help his case by surrendering a run in his lone appearance last series.

Yeah we were winning big, but he was already borderline to begin with.

Euphoria. We stomped the Indians so we are all on a high but Boston won a 108 games. We are only a slight Vegas favorite.

I think what’s inevitable is that this is going to be a heavyweight Battle Royale like Tyson Holyfield

The outcome is not inevitable, even though we have a better roster top to bottom than Boston. The talent differential is modest, not massive.

I have this strange feeling, something I have never experienced before with Houston teams. I think it might be confidence.

Tyson-Holyfield was not a battle royale. Tyson was completely humiliated and had to resort to acting crazy leading to the disqualification.

But by that token, this may be closer to that matchup.

Astros in 3. Boston gets on the plane and forfeits game 4. I might be wrong (I often am) but this series doesn’t concern me at all. We have the better starting pitching and bullpen by a mile, and a much deeper lineup than them even if their top 3 is slightly better than our top 3.
I’m seriously sweating a WS with the Dodgers. They were super unlucky this year which masked the fact that they are just a b**** of a team to deal with right now.

    Astros in 3.5

Game 1 gets called after 5 because of too much rain...or too heavy of a beatdown.
