Honestly his foot work sucks and he looks like a big dumbass out there in the post (offensively mostly).

Cant blame Scola for hustling. Maybe I'm bias but so be it.

The hate for Zhou is strong here. The kid is young and hasn't cracked our rotation yet. Cut him some slack he's showing steady improvement since we got him. Be patient young blood. Fingers crossed not an ACL.

Trade him please, just make him go away we have other players that can actually contribute. He has had time here and was passed up by younger players before the injury. Let’s cut losses and move on —> it didn’t work out.

    From Zhou's weibo in China:

"The news is good about my test result. Thank you all for your support!"

Relax folks - not everyone can contribute right away like Chinanu Onuaku (the guy picked ahead of Zhou)

Update: I forgot Onuaku was traded for ripped Zimbabwe dollar.

Am I alone in wondering why Yahoo felt the need to point out that Zhou is Chinese in their headline for this article?

NBA knee injury fears for Rockets' Chinese forward Zhou

    https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-knee-i...c-b159-c2d639440c9f&bcmt=1&.tsrc=bell-canvass

I don't ever recall seeing "NBA knee injury fears for Mavericks' German forward Nowitzki" as a headline any of those time Nowitzki was injured - even far back in his early career before he was a big name.

It's kind of weird to me that the old trope about rookies and youngins needing to beef up defense before anything just doesn't even remotely apply.

This dude is a legit shot blocker. He's a good defender already and it's not like his shot is complete dookie, just needs some work. I think everyone around the world appreciates the career of Luis Scola but him diving to the floor for a ball in preseason at the age of 6,000 and taking away probably the only real chance Qi was going to get this year to show out was really something.

Glad to hear he's ok, because it looked bad. Still believe in the upside and potential of Qi but I'd like to see a more aggressive demeanor from him. Confidence. So on, so forth.

He'll probably be ready for the first game. Vipers start the season on November 3rd.

Good shot blocker doesn't mean good defender .

    Agreed on the aggressive front

It's a shame he has been hurt all preseason... He missed a gigantic opportunity to get some C minutes with the big boys.

Agreed. Would really like to get a real look at what he can contribute or not.
