    He was due some rest, he's already closing in on a career high workload with a month left and hopefully the postseason still to go.

    He ain’t hurt. He has a dead arm. Gonna get that straight for the playoffs. Give him 15 or 20 days off. Bring him back for 2 or 3 tuneup starts. 5 inning/ 70 pitch max each time.

    He will dominate in the playoffs.

    I was afraid of that last night. The fact that Hinch pulled him out so quickly, and the in-game velocity drop. But yeah, much needed and overdue rest time for Charlie, hopefully he'll be ready for the playoffs and back in full form by then.

    Sounded like in today’s telecast that Morton will be back for the Boston series if a bullpen tomorrow goes well.
