This is just a reminder and a plea to my fellow Rocket fans to go vote for Yao Ming for your starting center for the Western Conference All Star Team. Voting ends at 9 PM today Sunday Houston time.

    vote hear

A few weeks ago I wouldn't have made a thread like this or gone out of my way to vote for Yao. But he has been playing tremendously of late and Shaq has been out over a quarter of his teams games this year. Shaq isn't even listed among any of the league leader catagory statistics on nba.com because he hasn't played enough games to qualify.

At last count on Jan 12th Yao trailed Shaq by 25,000 votes. link to Jan 12th vote results.

Let's put Yao over the top and have two All Stars on the national stage for this year's All Star game. (Stevie has a large lead over Payton in the voting)

There can be an arguement that Brad Miller deserves an All Star spot but since he is almost 1,000,000 votes behind there is no sense in voting for him now. He will more than likely get elected to go by the coaches.

One more note: In my opinion Shaq will likely miss the All Star game becuase of his calf injury. Why not give Yao the honor of being voted in by the fans since Shaq won't likely play anyways?

Vote for Yao, Cat, and Steve NOW! Less that 9 hours left!!!

    Thanks! :)

Yes, yes, let's exercise our rights and vote.

Maybe we can avoid another Bush-Gore hanging chad situation.

He's already started practicing with the team, so I doubt he'll miss the All-Star game.

After so many tries I just got through! After voting I get a notice that the page I voted on was an electronic error.

How come you guys say that Francis going to the allstar game when not deserving it is gonna go to his head, but don't mind pimping Yao when Shaq and Brad Miller are having better years?

    Peja
    Bryant
    Cassell
Shaq or Miller if missing those games are important to you.

obviously you didnt read the post oski -- shaq has missed a quarter of his games. Brad Miller is so far behind there's no point in rallying for his cause. And I wouldn't be so sure that he's having a better year than Yao anyways.
