Saw it again on IFC earlier this evening. For those of you interested in finding out what the big deal is about The Who, watch that... It's one of the best rockumentaries (though it can't touch Spinal Tap).

I got it for Christmas. It's great. The part where Pete talks about listening to the Beatles on stereo headphones is pretty funny. The Ringo + Keith parts and the live version of A Quick One are what makes it worth the 30 bucks to me. A++++++ WOULD BUY AGAIN
I love The Kids Are Alright! I'm sure it will be on again and I'll have to catch it again. When I saw that, there points in it when I was saying to myself, 'Spinal Tap has to be fairly heavily influenced by some of this stuff.' And that's a good thing, because this documentary is great, and 'This is Spinal Tap' is my favorite movie of all times.
I was going to start a thread about this movie when I saw it the other day! The Who has to be the most explosive band in history! A little side note. Has anyone seen the Rolling Stones "Rock and Roll Circus"? It was a movie released in 1996, it is the long suppressed made-for-TV special recorded 28 years earlier by the Stones on Dec 11-12, 1968. There was this big conspiracy theory that the reason it was never released was because the Who completely blow the Rolling Stones out of their own movie. If you've ever seen it, you would have to agree!
Wasn't Jethro Tull playing with Tony Iommi in that one? Only saw it once, on Vh1 I think, in the late 90s. I was in a band that covered the entire "A Quick One" opera, with me having to sing all the parts. It was wicked fun, but we got some weird looks with that one. Our keyboard player was quite the Who freak, I thought I was the Anglophile of the group until he came around ...
