I just want to say that you are a hard core rocket fan and a class act at the same time, and you make, I am sure, many hard core lurkers just like me apreciate this BBS that much more.

Actually, your post in the "Is the coming to MJ a consideration that the ROX think of YAO = RICK Smith" revealed that you are the class act, maybe a way boyond the level of the mortals.
    :D :D :D

Thanks again, and I am sure you are one of those kind of people who make all others around them feel and get better.

You are wrong. There are many. Will you bash on Yao by calling him girl just for a few bad games? Even after today's victory over TWolf, they are still bash on Yao. Would you like me to quote the post to you. There are many low quality posts on both sides.

It's not private place. Nobody cares other one welcome or hate. Just come here to espress their own thinking. Some you like, read more, some you do not, just skip it. Do not soound like you are whohost here, wlecome someone who have same likeness or hatrness. Agree or not, IT's fact, If Yao is not effective, we are a team struggling for playoff. Simple like that, Why still fight against YOF. If you like YAo, accept YOF too.

Listen up Chang. From your handle, I guess you probably are of Asian descent. As much as Jeff singled out Xenogears as a typical YOF, this Fisher person is an epitome of YOB, Yao only Basher, and probably AOB too. I would guess he's a person from Brooklyn who hates Chinese take-out. Yao has his good and bad days. This Sam guy seldom, if not never, said anything good about Yao. He probably enjoys more in bashing anyone with an Asian handle or new to this bbs, who supported Yao, than Yao the person. Just ignore him like I did and will.

You are 100% right. For the Yao-haters or the someone-lovers, if you say something good for Yao, you could be labeled as YOF. I am living in Houston, and become the Rocket fan since 1994. I see so many haters, YOBs, and the lovers in this board. They are not just for the Houston Rocket, they prefer to support their lovers.

Everyone here is missing the pt here. Reading Calvin's quotes, the Stevie fans feel threatened at the possibility that Calvin is suggesting Stevie/Mobley being traded which I think could still happen if Rockets fail to make the playoffs. The point is Rocket organization need to focus on winning by building a team around a dominant big men. That's not because of YOF, SOF or ROF, just matter of winning a championship. Anything short of a championship is unacceptable. Great organization needs clear goals, and assemblying the best talent/Team to win. If Stevie cut his turnover to 3 or 4 a games at the end of the season, I would be the first to vote him to the all star next year. If he doesn't, he should be traded.

    SF career in TO's : 3.71

    SF 03/04 season in TO's: 3.82

What are you talking about?! Do you even know what his career and current season averages are?!

Word of advice, think and check before you post.

Most Obvious place to look for Steve Francis' stats...

    Listen up:

    1. I don't hate Yao, I love the Rockets, have for over 20 years; I criticize Yao when he does badly, I criticize steve when he does badly. As long as he is a Rocket I will pull for him game in, game out. For Christ's sake, he's on my freaking fantasy basketball team!

    2. Honestly, f-ck you for calling me a racist and an asian basher. That is totally uncalled for. Do I call you Asian YOF types racist and prejudiced for bashing Steve? No, I never have and never will. You have no idea whether I am black, white, brown, red or yellow, and simply because I have defend Steve Francis from the relentless criticism and occasionaly point out that Yao hasn't become a dominant player yet, now I am a racist who hates Asians? Stop being an idiot.

    3. Good, I hope you do ignore me; you're obviously too small minded to understand a thing I had to say anyway, so do us both a favor and never read any of my posts again.

Were you paying attention? I said that you were not a YOF.

The difference between those centers in Yao is that those other Centers FORCED their guards to pass them the ball, both explicitly and implicity, with the way they played. They got open, and established that they were going to be the man, game in and game out. In that situatioon, Kenny Smith, Hal Greer, Avery Johnson, etc etc etc had no choice BUT to give them the ball.

Yao, meanwhile, doesn't force the action. Not vocally, not with his play, although as of late he has done better. When Yao plays well, gets position, and acts aggressive (like Wilt, et al did) he gets the ball. When he plays meek, gets pushed around by Walter McCarty and Mehmet Okur, he doesn't get it.

That's a pretty simple equation. Look at Shaq, he plays with the biggest ball hog in the game in Kobe, yet he explicity and implicitly finds a way to get the ball. It's up to Yao, and nobody else, to be the same way.

Jackie, I was responding to another post that explicitly called me a racist, for hating Yao, hating Asians, and hating YOF's. This gotoloveit jackass said/implied that this "sisirchang"dude was asian and that's why I hated him.

I would think you would be intelligent enough to pick that up.

Let me clarify and update some stats here,

Steve Francis t/o per 48 minutes is 8th worst in the league at 4.64. Lebron and Kirk Heinrich has lower t/o/48 minutes than SF and they are rookies.

I just thought it was a bad choice to say "you Asian YOF types", you could have done without the "Asian", but I will admit I was nitpicking a bit.

As to the discussion, I just read Jeff's posts for the first time and was a bit surprised that saying "Ewing is not helping to improve Yao so he should go" or "The refs do not treat Yao fairly" apparently makes you a YOF. I think those would be legitimate statements that could be made by anyone without being a "YOF". By the way, I think the term is stupid and labels people in a certain way and should be put to rest. And those who only came here because of Yao Ming, well, I think we should just try to convert them to be fans of the whole team. Very often people become fans of a team because they liked a particular player first, and then they stuck with the team.

ALright, but that is not what you said in your last post.

I was just stating that he does have the stats that you were asking for.

    SF career in TO's : 3.71

    SF 03/04 season in TO's: 3.82

I was just accused of hating all asians, simply for saying that Yao would be the one to determine how successful he is/will be.

I suppose it might have been marginally presumptuous for me to assume that somebody who would make such an asinine accusation was likely to be Asian, and in theory it could have been leveled by a 75 year old Puerto Rican woman, however, given the usual demographic of YOF's, at least judging by their handles, etc., I would wager you dollars to donuts that it wasn't, and I don't think it should obscure what a bullsh-t thing it is to call anybody who dares question the cult of Yao a racist.
