I’m not the one parsing cyberx and Ikos words to match mine, I know what you mean by “primary target.” now. If you’re interested in discussing more, let’s go to the thread where you first brought up Winslow in July. This thread is about Butler being Morey’s primary target right now. And I can see in your reply to me below, that you indeed agree. Butler is Morey’s primary focus right now. So we are done here, right? “As one of our targets isn't it LOGICAL that Morey's focus would be on Butler right now” - ‘holic
You guys are all arguing about things that none of you know is true so it really won’t end. We know Houston is interested. And we know Minnesota hasn’t accepted any offers so far. THAT IS ALL WE KNOW. THE REST IS JUST HEARSAY
I bet that Knight and Chriss will be traded if someone offer us a defensive player. They will not be ready for us in playoffs.
Well yes this is factually accurate, we will never know what reports are true and what reports are leaked for leverage purposes etc. Wolfson said yesterday that 90+% of the leaks are coming from the Butler side. This would make sense because he wants out, so he's the one ramping up the pressure. But we also have Holic in here saying that the hearsay that he hears is more valuable than, say, the hearsay that cyber, ch44, Wolfson etc say they hear. He's also in here saying that the hearsay that he is hearing is effectively what Morey is saying or at least what Morey would be saying in response to what he (Holic) is hearing, while simultaneously saying that he is hearing the hearsay that no one else seems to be hearing, but is not an actual insider hearsay hearer; just a hearer who hears better than the other hearers here and saying what they hear is not actually being heard by them.
Holic just can't fathom the idea that a brilliant GM like Morey might have thoughts that are different from his own brilliant thoughts. The only things he's hearing are coming from the voices in his own head.
There are also reports that Minny would bring back Jimmy to start the season. Now I’m no insider, but negotiating is a big part of my life, as is the NBA. I can’t imagine the Timberwolves saying “we HAVE to get rid of him, no way we can start the season with him.” At the same time, I can’t inagine that not being the case. They just signed KAT. Wiggins is signed. Are they really going to roll out this new page with the possibility (probability) of Jimmy’s tension in the locker room? EDIT: that would mean a report is BS
To be honest, they probably enjoy the anonymity that a thread of useless posts provide. It is our job to sift through the sand to find the gold.
I agree. Butler has played in last game with Minnesota. Too much tension between him and Wiggins, and I don’t think it was just a coincidence KAT resigned once he knew Butler wanted out. He’ll be traded by October 16th.
I thought that doing a 1for1 with knight in in a separate trade immediately after involving that new salary would be circumvention? Knight 1:1 doesnt work via 3way because it's still not enough going out to receive butler also, even if you step up salary via a 3rd team.
