    I don't get why the As started Hendriks this game? He pitched 24 innings the whole year and had a 4+ era.

    Is that the guy you want starting against a true ace? Was Oakland trying to do one of those games where they just rotate pitchers in and out every inning thinking that's going to work?

    The As lost this game before it even started imo.

    As long as the ball is in fair territory before it gets to first or third, it's fair - doesn't matter that it started off foul. The ball clearly was in fair territory as it went by the first base bag.
