Balanced is one thing...but when we haven't been down by less than about 10 the entire game....and we have them shootin 11% from the field on natinal TV......come on Give me a break Thought I'd never say it but I totally miss Calvin and Bill.......
If you had to watch most of the games on League Pass you wouldn't be complaining at all.... most local commentators are unbearable if you aren't rooting for their team. I think those guys are doing a good job so far. They can't really speak too positively or negatively about any one team because the game is being watched by both sides. They also can't rave too much, saying things like "the game is already over" because they want viewers to stay tuned for the second half. Anyway, I'll take impartial any day.
for real. the abc sports headquarters guys are giving us no respect. but who cares. a win is a win and this will be a big win cause we gain 2 on the t-wolves.
yeah i hate it how the game is being controlled by the wolves. for example -- "The Timberwolves are playing horrible, shooting poorly etc" -- instead of it being "The Rockets are playing awesome, controlling this game, and playing suffocating defense." It's always about the OTHER team losing, instead of the Rockets winning. Oh well, respect is earned, and our next 3 games are on national tv after this one, so maybe we'll show up to those and get some respect.

Are you kidding?!? I love ABC! They praised us a lot...I loved listening to them saying how great we were...well of course...thankfully we played well today. Doc Rivers said a lot of good stuff about the Rockets..
In defense of the ABC announcers, the T'Wolves had won 17 of their previous 20 games and were coming off back-to-back road wins against the Hornets and Spurs, so it's understandable that their performance this afternoon seemed unusually inept. Yes, the Rockets' defense had a lot to do with that, but at the same time, Minnesota played like crap. I had no problem with the job the play-by-play guys did. Now ABC's halftime crew is another matter. Lex Luthor...errrrr, Tom Tolbert has never been a Rockets fan and he made no effort to hide it today.
jshabang, They said a lot of good things about Yao and Francis. But since the Wolves were being slaughtered, they didn't want to kick a dog when they were down. They were giving them credit too. The Wolves are not a bad team. They just hit a buzz saw tonight.
While we're on this topic, I'd just like to say that I detest Tommy Heinsohn. And Walter McCarty, for that matter. And the Utah Jazz play-by-play guy. And that beady-eyed guy that works at the pizza place on main. Thank you.
i dont think the guys doing the game were against the rockets in anyway, but it was like karl and tolbert who refuse to acknowledge that it quite possibly could be the rockets are that good of a team to play minnesota that way. what really got me was freakin karl saying i think minnesota is experiencing human nature or something saying that they have already taken off for home after winning at no and sa. and tolbert, agh let me just set this straight for all nba televising stations why the hell would you hire a guy that was a scrub throughout his career to do analysis for you? i mean c'mon, had he been a basketball genius during his career he may have gotten more playing time or had a better career. I am sitting there saying, hell i know the Xs and Os of the game much better than this fool why is he even there. Just because you have former players doesnt make their analysis good. Rather i would have former college coaches or nba coaches doing it, people who know the game better. frustrating
the announcers were fair with the compliments... but yeah...karl...the main no-name to the far left of the desk...those 2 from the abc headquarter desk seemed unhappy with the way the game was going...karl saying "lets just say minnesota is playing terrible" and the main no-name was giving credit to NBA's trend in strong defense that the twolves were getting whomped by...CARVING OUT THE DIRECT CREDIT TO THE ROCKETS...the bald guy, 3rd guy to the far right even made a comment about "I like how you worded around that saying the NBA's defense".
