Butler would bolt if he is a free agent. He wants to play in LA or NY and he wants to be the centerpiece on an elite team. At this point I don’t overly care about 2019-2020 and Butler. If the Rockets swing a deal keeping PJ, all you do is trade two years of Gordon for 1 year of Butler (and maybe more).

jimmy is a great player, but i dont see any team being "elite" if he is the best player. I'm not sure what he is thinking. the reports are all so conflicting. he says he wants to win, but would sign an extension in brooklyn ? they seem years away and he is 30 (or about to be) and the major players in the east are young and aren't going anywhere for a decade or more. he doesn't want to seem to want to play with lebron ? if he goes to clippers and kawhi comes, its kawhi's team, not his. i just dont understand....but ill take the rental if we keep tucker for sure.
