How do we know the rockets are offering EG? Why can’t they just flip Knight to a third team that needs a PG ? All the other offers I’ve seen are really low
Because Knight has negative value, pretty much like Anderson. There's just no way in hell we can get Butler by moving Knight and picks, it would take at least a 1st rounder just to dump his contract.

I guess if CP3 can become the stronghold defensive coordinator and keep everyone in check, PJ might not be as valuable. And everyone is saying DM can go find others who can turn silver into gold. This is the best case scenario, which can still be very likely. So I guess illI take that. But the corner 3 in pressure situations that PJ gave us, we had a tough time finding that. I don't know that these other players can be that for us when Ryno, Luc, and even sometimes Ariza, couldn't hit open 3s in the playoffs. Also, EG is friggn 6th man of the yr. Butler has been good, and maybe he can do more for us than EG. But I'm not gonna be happy watching EG and PJ leave. Id be praying that JB works out for us.
One thing that I would never never get how we don't keep Ariza and Moute. Ariza/Moute and 2 first round picks for Butler via 3rd team. Easy!
Lol people talking about Jimmy Butler like he's Harrison Barnes in here makes me think they don't even watch the NBA. No one even knew who PJ Tucker was a year ago and now he's all a sudden untouchable. This is coming from someone who's favorite player on the team is Tucker and Beverley before that. But at some point you have to put the homer glasses down and set emotions aside. Be rational. Yall are seriously thinking too hard about this. The formula is not some big mystery, it's simple. Daryl Morey said just get more team USA players, not more PJ freakin Tuckers. (although I wouldn't mind that)
This is interesting trade idea: Clippers get Chriss/Ariza/Rockets first pick Wolves get Gordon/Moute/Rockets 2022 first pick Rockets get Butler/Tobias Harris Tilman get two new contracts next summer in Butler/Harris
