Agreed, she's incredibly brave to attempt to destroy someone's life with absolutely no evidence or corroboration. Most people wouldn't push forward in that situation, but her desire to ruin Kavanaugh's life gets her through it.

Unless you have photographic memory, there are things that you aren't aware of and forget, even 5 mins ago. As an example that I think most of us experience - where did i just put those dang keys? And then there are memory from when you were 5 that you remember clearly. Memory seems to work in strange way for those that aren't trained in how they work.

I agree with you, and I think that's exactly the point. Without any witnesses or evidence, her memory is all we have. And it's naturally extremely shaky. Everyone who she claims was at the party denies being there or having any recollection of an assault.

 

I'm watching this as someone that's looking through a logical lense. Ford is being brave if she is indeed telling the truth, but nothing she has said led me to believe her claim.

I'm not watching this through any lens, other than hummmm... curiosity. But the politics that keep on popping up is hard to take.

So they've brought up that she was effectively lying in order to manipulate the process with the "I can't fly" nonsense, that she lied about saying that they wouldn't come to her, that she didn't remember actions that took place a few weeks ago......but she knows 100% it had to be Brett Kavanaugh, literally the only thing she's ever known for certain in her entire life.

 

or maybe even a recollection of being there... it's long ago and unless it's a dramatic event for them or they have very good memory, chances they won't remember anything

btw, i disagree her memory is shaky (based on my understanding of memory), but I'm not interested in arguing about any of this at this point

For sure, everyone else is wrong, even her friend who says she never met Brett Kavanaugh at any point ever.....even the therapist who wrote down her story got it wrong, literally the ONLY person that knows is Ford. Everyone else in the world is confused.

I can't imagine the mental gymnastics that one would have to do in order to believe that.
