My Macbook was stolen. I'm now going to need a new laptop. What should I get?

    Oh man, what luck! I recently .... aquired a used macbook air that I'm looking to sell, it's not in the greatest shape, probably was some college student who used it frequently to fap. Anyways, I'm in NY, where are you?

    Unless you're into PC gaming, I'd just get a Chromebook. They're super cheap and great for regular day to day use.

    So turns out my laptop didn't get stolen, I just left it in my classroom and it was sent to the lost and found.

    Good suggestions though guys. I'll look into them when this one craps out on me in the future.

    If you are referring to me and my Chromebook, that thing was awesome. I bought a newer model once I dropped the old one and cracked the screen, but who gives a **** it was like 250 bucks. Had that one for two years. The one I'm using currently is at two years and still works like a champ.

    I use it strictly for email, and browsing the web. I would rather spend 299 for something that browses the internet than something that is 1299 and browses the net all the same.

    I did buy my wife a mac book pro last year and she loves it. Now that my job is moving into a more administrative territory I am gonna buy one for myself as the Chromebook with online Microsoft office suite online doesn't really cut it.

    Basically OP. If you are really just using it to check emails, go to youtube, clutchfans etc etc, then you are hard pressed to get anything else than a Chromebook. Unless you wanna spend on performance that you won't really need/use.
