The guy YangYi is Yao's best friend and most basketball fans in China know it is true since they always hangout together when Yao stayed in China. To me Yang¡¦s article is the best source to read Yao¡¦s mind since they are very often on the phone. Yao gave Yang some inside info about the Rocket because he assumes Yang publishes the report in Chinese and none of his teammate can understand. Actually, I think the best way is to look at things in two perspectives, instead of just one. And in this case, your beloved American media hasn't come up with factual rebuttal but Calvin Murphy has said things, although in a more subtle way, that resonates with the basic theme of Yang's article. Yang said he heard guards doesn't pass the ball without a JVG roaring, and Murphy said there's players that don't know how to play with Yao, and if they don't change, they'll be replaced. Read between the lines, what Murphy meant is apparent. ...

I have high doubts when the punishment is not jailing, but merely losing one's job when one commits serious fraudulent journalism. That shows how high the journalistic standard is in America.

You think Chinese are brainwashed by the government, well, Chinese think you guys are brainwashed by the media. When is that last time you heard a government official criticize the media? Two centuries ago? They simply can not, dare not and will not. Mr.Bush doesn't dare to mess with the media if he wants to get re-elected, no politicians dares. What is left to criticize the media? Media themselves? LOL. Or the average Americans like you? Well then, on what basis can you criticize the media when media is the channel that feeds you the basic info?

I will give you a fact : America committed war crimes in Vietnam. Want to discuss this with me ? Come to my house. What ? You don't want to come to my house ? Then maybe I don't want to go to D&D ? So don't bring these irrelevant stuff no more. The FACT is, none of the articles about Yao on sina is censored by the government.
