I'm so done with Bay's Transformers, and I think Paramount finally is too after the lackluster performance of Age of Extinction. Yes, I did enjoy 1 and 3, but they really could have been so much more. What I love here is that they return the transformer designs to their more classic look. Bumblebee and Starscream look awesome. And it looks like there was more depth and emotion from a transformer in that minute-long trailer than in the whole Bay series. You also got Travis Knight from Laika studios at the helm. So yeah, I'm definitely intrigued.
Looks better than any of the Bayformers (outside of the first one) for sure. But honestly seeing G1 Starscream sold me
So now they're spinning off single characters ala Star Wars and Marvel Movies? The Last Knight grossed Worldwide: $605,425,157 which is no chump change on a 200m budget. It was also their highest grossing movie last year. Age of Extinction grossed Worldwide: $1,104,054,072 I don't think they're done. Paramount isn't making 1b movies all the time like Disney.
Yes, totally agree with G1 Starscream (and G1 Bumblebee). Just praying for a good storyline, this is the reason I haven't enjoyed the Bay franchises (along with the over the top in your face action that had me rolling my eyes). As simple as Transformers the Movie (1986) was and the necessity of Hasbro to introduce as many new characters they could to sell toys, it actually had a good story
I remember seeing this in theaters. (I have not seen it since) (until now) In my humble opinion, on the worst scenes in movie history. Soooooooooo dumb <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/5kS9NKYJMVk" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
yeah that was from the second one which was horrible. The first one was the best, the third one probably had the most potential since it took a lot of source material from the 3 part series from the G1 cartoon. But saying the first was the best is still a low bar. The 1986 cartoon is by far the best
I thought the Trailer looked good even though it didn't tell me anything. And that's the story of the franchise. Think it will be hard to sell the story between a girl and her car because that is just not how it works. There's really no story there. But I did buy into the girl in the trailer as believable. I'm not sure what they do here, but I hope they make it work. The amazing this is they have rockets it in the CGI, now they just need a writer.
You know what's weird about the Transformers and GI Joe franchises is that they both basically came into being off toylines and comic books, during the 1980s. And, what comic book company was responsible for creating some of their most memorable storylines ... Marvel.
New trailer and fans of the 80s cartoon will see plenty to love.......a shame they didn't just go this route from the start.....
Wow, that's pretty cool. Shocking that making a Transformers movie where the Transformers actually look like The ****ing Transformers would seemingly be a good idea. full disclosure: I watched about 20 minutes of the 1st Bay one and said "this looks like crap" and that's all I know about those movies.
So this is a reboot with G1 designs? No one seems to know what Bumblebee is, and based on the earlier movies, everyone on Earth knows who they are. I'm completely in, even with the nauseating constant flip robots.
