What was the winning percentage again with him and the 2 superstars? Folks are ok to break up a proven winning formula because of a shiny object?

Absolutely! Jimmy Butler would make a great Center!

Jimmy is a locker room cancer with his country music. No thanks.

Yeah I’d probably do it. It’s easier to replace Capela than to get someone who do what Butler does. That being said, it’s way better for the team if we give up Gordon and filler because I don’t want Chriss starting.

Yeah. I don’t know how we paid that much for a center just because he can catch lobs and defend

Yeah. People would rather pay 40 million for centers that don’t play defense and pair it next to harden

I would do it, but it would hurt. The Wolves don't have a single throw-in on their roster that can do anything Cap can do. We'd probably have to get a pick too and use it later for a center. Butler is too talented to just pass up if he's a possibility.

Um...Minny can't afford Clint. They don't have the cap room anymore.

I probably would but it can’t be done with Capela until mid Dec so no real reason in discussing.

In theory though, we’d be placing a lot of hope on one of Hartenstein/Chriss/Zhou panning out which is risky.

Without the roll to the rim threat sucking in the defense, the Rockets offense just doesn’t work. Capela is ultra important now but you might need to take a gamble to get someone like Butler who would be a difference maker in the WCF if we played GS again.

Delete this entire thread! CC is all Houston and you dare bringing this up?! Our record when CP3, Harden and CC play is impeccable.

To me, even though Clint was not as effective offensively against GS, DG could not gamble defensively against him as it would result in an alley hoop . That limited his ability to help defensively which is his best skill set.

Nope... Butler is a better overall player... but CC fills a greater, is a more reasonable contract going forward... and has a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better attitude... screw diva buckets... imo...

I'm not a big fan of Clint, but I do love his shotblocking and he is a good rebounder. His P/R game is solid too. I would like to retain him, despite his offensive limitations. He is valuable to the Rockets. No to Jimmy Butler for him.

Only if 3 way and Rockets receive WCS as well as Butler.
