What can we do to stop this? Have some of you been voting for him?

Why do you want to stop him from going?

Steve is a good player but the best PG in the West this year is Sam Cassell. I voted for Mister ET. He deserves it. He is playing better than anybody else. To prove it, check out his stats.

Geez people, you are allowed to dislike Steve Francis, you are free to vote other teams' players who you like. But at least Francis is a Rox and this is a team you are rooting for.

Don't be soo mean talking about stopping him to be an all-star. At least there are many other fans like him playing. It is still an honor even though he definitely has to player better to earn it and to be an true all-star.

gr8-1 actually has a good point.

I think that steve making the all-star team with his sub-par play will give him a false sense of achievement.

We're not satisfied with his play, but if he's starting for the allstar team, it's not as likely to sink in to him that he needs to step up his game.

I might have the solution for gr8-1's fair-weathered approach to Francis and the Rockets. He goes to Texas, the home of SOME of the most fair-weathered fans in college football. They'll praise you one minute, but watch out if things go sour. If anyone disagrees with that assessment, I've been to more ut games then you then.

    Hmmmm...interesting.

All-Star = popularity. What's more "popular," an accurate pass or a spectacular dunk?

Want to be one of the "greats?" Do both well.

i voted for him because of two reasons.

first,he is the leader of ROX.(dont argue with me about it,he is still the leader so far),he needs more confidence and more show time.

second,i think this is the hardest season in his career.he has to change his style,he has to sacrifice himself for the team! and now we all can see that he's been trying ,no matter what he's done.

The NBA All Star game is NOT about "who deserves to go" it is about who the FANS what to see. Which players the FANS want to be entertained by. Yes, ENTERTAINED. Thus the FANS pick the starters for the game. I have no problem if fans want to vote in Francis, Vince Carter etc etc.

The "real" all stars are the players selected to the ALL NBA FIRST and SECOND teams at the end of the season. Those are the players that are being recognized for their play throughout the year based on their achievements on the court.

I didn't vote for francis that's for sure. The only rocket I signed for the allstar game was the Cat. He deserves to be there. For SHEEZEES!
