In before "Tilman is cheap, Tilman doesnt want to spend money, Tilman doesnt care about a championship
None of us know what Knight will bring to the table, he will be coming off the bench and can score. Chriss averages 22 minutes a game, those are big minutes, he can rebound and plays well around the rim. With Paul and Harden, he should be able to flourish in our system and will play at a position of need. Melton played zero minutes in the NBA and has yet to show anything. I would would have preferred Lebron but that was not going to happen. Rockets got better value as a lesser cost than anyone here expected. We don't know how good but at worst it puts us in a better position for the future.
Some other players that have come back from ACL tears: Ricky Rubio Rajon Rondo Lou Williams Leandro Barbosa Jabari Parker Dante Exum
Absolutely in no way is that the starting lineup. Starting Ennis before Melo makes absolutely no sense.
Please link to where it shows that Chriss is a problem in the locker room. You may no be wrong but why in heavens name would you want to keep Anderson sitting on the bench for another year. His time with the Rockets was over, that was obvious during ls season. Keep a net negative in the "hope" that Melton is another Mitchell. He may be but this deal was worth making.
Melton can never be the next Mitchell. Mitchell is outstanding. He was drafted 13th overall though. Melton is a second rounder. That’s not comparable fate’s for teams passin up on them.
We couldn't keep Anderson. Imagine a guy at work makes $250,000 and you make $50,000. Well the other guy gets no work because the boss doesn't like some of his past work. However, the boss likes your work and you get all you can handle. Your desk and his desk are side by side. He's making bank and rolling up in a new Benz, sitting at the desk, surfing the net. You're riding in with your 2015 Ford Focus, bustin' hump to make the company look good. While the guy next to you isn't disgruntled, how's your spirit?
0% chance he's "great" If we don't cut him loose at the first opportunity then he should consider that a successful Rockets tenure.
"Absolutely no way"??? That's probably the best starting lineup the Rockets can put out there right now! My guess is that "player politics" will dictate that Melo ends up as a starter at one of the forward spots, but personally, I think he'd be much more effective as a go-to scorer and focal point off the bench. You don't need to start your five best players.
Will Tillman actually trade Knight for a "larger salary"? Please, he's gonna attach another younger talent to dump Knight for more luxury tax profit.
It's all about the 240 minute reality. Every minute matters. It's nothing new but last season the Rockets showed the power of staggering your stars to obtain their highest potential. If Melo doesn't start, plays 30 minutes, and scores 20 points against the other team's bench squad then he is going to be ecstatically happy at post game press conferences.
Except the guy at work was hired to work in Renewable Energy but the company abruptly switched to Nuclear Power. Homie is trying his best, but those wind turbines and solar panels aren't doing enough to keep the lights on.
Tell it to both Woj and Marc Stein who both reported Melo is expected to come off the bench in Houston.
Foregone conclusion? No, if he plays well the I am sure the Rockets will pick it up. I’ll just say that had Chriss been under contract in 2019 the Rockets don’t do the deal.
