No one will believe you are really in Hawaii, until you post pictures of girls on the beach :D

Where else in Hawaii are you going? I *LOVE* the big island of Hawaii. Haven't been to Maui yet though.

Why did you like the Big Island? Of all the islands, I dislike the Big One the most. Although golf courses are nice on the dry side, the sky is always overcast with volcanic fog (vog). It may be pretty and green on the wet side, but all the unfriendly people there are on edge from impending lava flow. The volcano park is cool, but the people up there compare to Appalachians with psychotic episodes from all the rain. Is it because most of the land is ranch land and it reminds you of Texas? Do you really enjoy Mauna Loa Macadamia nuts?

IMO the other islands outrank Hawaii in beaches, beauty, tourism, nightlife, surfing, and golf. So maybe I'm missing something.

When it comes down to it (based on the four islands I've been to)...

if you like big cities...go to Oahu.
if you like big spaces (like Texas)...go to Hawaii.
if you like greenery, canyons and small towns...go to Kauai.
if you like a mix of city-life and laid-back life...go to Maui.

Even if you only go to Molokai or Lanai, you're still in Hawaii and that's better than where most of us are right now.

BTW...if anyone has ever made the trip down to Ka Lae (South Point) on the Big Island and hiked over to the green sand beach...that is a nice looking, extremely secluded beach. Nothing beats taking a snorkle trip to Molokini though.
