Even if it were the same Trevor Ariza, it would still be totally irrelevant.

And it's not nearly the same Trevor Ariza.

I can't say that you are incorrect as that may also be a good formula. Last year proved we had the correct one, we just had a some bad luck at the end. I believe that is why folks are not comfortable with the idea of losing even a little bit of that defensive effectiveness.

Kareem, Magic & Worthy or Parrish, McHale, & Bird or Jordan, Pippen & Rodman or Jordan, Pippen & Grant or Chamberlain, West & Baylor or James, Wade & Bosh even (forgiveness pleases) Curry, Thompson & Durant. These are all time greats. Hopefully our three will be in the same conversation one day because they all have rings. More Isaiah, Dumars & Laimbeer or Pierce, Allen & Garnett. We need hardware not numbers to be considered GOATs

2 pages in and no mention of the great Duo that is Dwight Howard and Josh Smith ?! Who also happen to have been AAU teammates back in the day .

sorry to disappoint you but i think the trio of cp3 harden and capela have regular season record better than all of these 'greats'

i dont need rings to recognize greatness, surely not in this fixed nba led by tony brothers and scott foster etc..i have my own brain, as great as the rockets trio is, they are not greater than trio of brothers, foster and malloy

It's relevant. Years ago we lost Trevor Ariza, and EVERYONE freaked out.

Not nearly the same at all. Now he is 10 years older and 3X the price... :D

It is irrelevant to how we'll perform.

I was here when we lost Ariza. No one freaked out. Basically everyone understood that the project - which was to make him a shot creator - had failed. Even Ariza seemed to understand it, and instead of whining he went about transforming himself.

Ariza as we know him did not even emerge till he got to Washington. That's where he became the player he's supposed to be - a dangerous catch and shoot player with excellent D who can guard several positions.

He also understood his role with the Lakers.

Yes but he was not the same player. He could not score in any way.

Enjoy it. Paul is making Jeff Bezos money in a retirement home soon.

I guess. There was/is no other alternative than to give it to him. Hopefully it works out and the Rockets win a championship. It's worth a shot.

I really enjoy watching him play every moment on the court...just the way he dribbles the ball is enjoyable
