My thoughts on Ted Cruz in a nutshell.

“You dont even stand up for your own family let alone Texas”.

Dick Army was a non-corporate politician, Beto is too.

Cruz sure was fast to get here to be at that initial press conference though when he knew CNN and FoxNews wouid cover it. Since then what has he really done in Houston to help recovering Neigborhoods?

Please for the love of God tell me what you care about in a Democratic candidate to represent Texas at the federal level? I’m dying to know.

    ....

Also I thought the Democratic Party was in disarray? Now you are saying they are in lock step and fall in line with senior leadership. No way you’d be spouting conflicting opinions about the Democratic Party. No way!!

Same old playbook. Lowest denominator possible, appealing to latent or even blatant racism. Of all issues Texans could care about, GOP will make Senate race about NFL players. LOL.

If he was going to just fall in line and do whatever Schumer told him to there is no reason why he wouldn't accept PAC money. It makes no sense that the gimmick of not taking the money would outweigh the benefits of taking the money.

Do you honestly believe that every Democrat just follows Schumer's lead? Does Elizabeth Warren just follow what Schumer tells her to do? Does Bernie Sanders?

Your theory seems pretty hard for me to swallow.

Uh, no. Bernie doesn't canvas with dems. Maybe he meant it as a trick question, but he's a registered independent (except for every four years, when he tries to manhandle the machinery of the DNC, LOL.)

Well, that isn't exactly accurate. They may agree on most issues, but there are differences in their votes. Agreeing doesn't always mean taking orders.

Do you believe Joe Manchin simply follows Schumer's orders?

Leaving political positions aside for the moment, right or wrong, Cruz just strikes me as a tool on a human level. Can't get past it.

While you were likely underage at the time, I actually worked for Cruz’s campaign his first senate run. Thought he was a bright lawyer and great guy. He’s come off as nothing but a sleazy human being since. I’ll look on my computer and see if I can find my photos of him and I at the 2010 Lincoln Regan dinner.

Again, you seem to be confusing that with the strategery of the current president.
