    Well, it's a no brainer.

Tuesday, November 7th. Fans vote yes to keep the Rockets in town......

    As for on-the-court.

Moochie's Game winner at Golden State.....with Mo Taylor's dunk over Shawn Bradley getting honorable mention...

I say the triple OT game against the Pacers back in March. That was amazing and an all time classic. You'd think the Rockets would just roll over and die after finding out (wrongly) that Hakeem was out for the season before tipoff. Wrong. Back and forth throughout, the Rockets managed to come back from down 10 with 3 minutes in regulation to force OT on a desperation Mooch 3. The first overtime was Mo's off the pick and roll. The second overtime was Cat's off the iso's and that HUGE 3 to tie it. The 3rd OT was Mooch's coming out party. Probably the best clutch performance all year by one individual. He couldn't miss, and no one could stop him. What a crazy night that was. Close runners up have to be Nov. 7 (election win and Lakers win) and March 17 over the Spurs, coming back from a 20 pt deficit...

And now for the low-light: When the final horn sounded, and the Rockets had just lost to the Clippers by 17. Honorable mention: 3 point loss to Seattle, 2 point loss to Phoenix, the Denver travesty.

dc rock and The Cat have got 'em.

The Knick comeback with Hakeem was unbelievable. Incredible. It was, what?, 14, at half?!? Unbelievable.

Setting the stage for the Pacers 3OT. Pacer 3OT is definitely the best NBA game I attended this year. A WHOLE EXTRA PERIOD! INCREDIBLE!

    MOO!

Don't forget the standing ovation Dream received when he came back against Utah after what seemed to be a season ending ailment.

It was great to see the warrior comeback to lead his team to victory over the Jazz.

... unless that was laFRANCHISE grandstanding for it? [IMG]

LaFranchise should have just bashed the refs. That would have given his thread validity...

I remember when I first got here. There were only 39,000 posts in this forum. How things have changed...

    Best moment?

Very easy! The fact That we won forty plus games considering all the drama e.g. Hakeem and his trade demands, bad ref calls all season long and the fact that we didn't have a rebounding PF or our money's worth with Catonic.

Oh I almost forgot, close scond would be the arena vote. Not that I had any doubts about Houstonian passion for professional and classy sports teams. Can say the same for Utah though.

Yeah, I'd go with the 2nd-half comeback, vintage Dream performance against the Knicks, especially since it was my first live Rockets game. How Sweet It Is!

    Best Games of the season:
    1) Indiana by far...Moochie's unbelievable effort. Maybe the best regular season win ever.

    2) San Antonio...the Rockets finally proved they could beat a "real" team, although they wouldn't be consitent at it.

    3) The Dreams dominance over the Knicks in the 2nd half.

    4) You may not remember, but Steve Francis had a spectacular game up in Toronto outdoing Vince Carter.

    Best moments/plays of the season:

    1) Moochie Norris with the 35ft game winner vs GS

    2) Cuttino wins in New York with the drive past Spree.

    3) Mo Taylor with a HUGE jam on Shawn Bradley.

    4) Hakeem gets a standing ovation in his return from injury.

    5) Steve Francis hits a jumper from behind mid-court as the shot-clock expires. (cant remember which game)

    6) In Utah, Steve finds KT for a 3 to send the game to OT. (although the Rockets go on to lose)

Honorable Mention: ANY Steve Francis alley-oop.

What make the San Antonio game even more unbelievable is what kind of tear the Spurs were on before and after that game.

This is my vote for best moment.

The Steve Francis Half-court shot was against Philly at Compaq.

Also how about Mobley's long bomb at the opponents Ft line to end first quarter. I forget that game tho.

The best moment hasn't happened as of yet. It will be against the Minnesota Timberwolves as Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is honored by the city of Houston.
