More than a gimmick friend. It's a genius strategy for a constituency that largely hates Cruz the Zodiac Killer.
We'll see how it works, but I think in the end it'll end up as little more than a desperate gimmick that will fall short because his constituency is too small to matter.
It is a Democratic poll... that's classic. What's next, "Are Republicans More Honest?" 85% of respondents in the latest Republican Polls say "Yes!"
Can you get some quotes on his position on drunk driving? How does he account for his own conviction and what does he think the federal government should do to help prevent the tens of thousands of people killed by alcohol impaired crashes
Gee, if you are going to try to smear someone... https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/beto-orourke/4308607c-4bb7-11e2-8758-b64a2997a921_print.html https://www.avvo.com/legal-guides/ugc/what-is-deferred-adjudication
No quotes except mistake? You can't get deferred adjudication for a DUI in Texas. Even a first offense. So I'm not sure what he is really claiming there or what the circumstances were. Is he in favor of stronger penalties? does he have an explanation why he was given such a light penalty for such a dangerous crime?
You were accusing him... I answered. You have anything else, or simply intent on attempting to smear the candidate?
yeah, my original question you ignored. But also please dig deeper on how he got something that is not allowed. Is he in favor of stronger penalties? does he have an explanation why he was given such a light penalty for such a dangerous crime? How does he account for his own conviction and what does he think the federal government should do to help prevent the tens of thousands of people killed by alcohol impaired crashes
I have answered your question. And he has been open about his past mistakes. You seem very focused on this... perhaps you can call his offices and find out. You can report on what you learn.
You are posting every thing he does in the thread. I thought perhaps you could use those sources. I guess this is a touchy subject. I know the Irish like to drink but getting behind the wheel of a car shows recklessness. Is he a teetotaler now or does he still booze it up from time to time? If you find out how he got out of a conviction that would be great. Was it in Texas? EDIT: Nevermind, found out his dad was El Paso County Judge. LOL, must be nice.
Why are "hispanics" voting purely on name? One of my Texas changes would be eliminating one-punch-straight-ticket voting. You punch the button for every single goddam candidate you want to vote for, if you're too lazy to do that....
A number of professional athletes (past and current) from the NFL and NBA have tweeted in response of the video. Including GSW coach Steve Kerr...
The stated intention was to be an act of disrespect, so if he doesn't think it's disrespectful you really have to question his thought process. Is he merely doing mental gymnastics to justify it for political reasons like so many others or is he just kind of stupid?
Odds that Bobby didn't watch the video? Anyone want to place bets? The act was meant to bring attention. The act had no message about veterans. Veterans who took at as such are egotistical and probably the type that ask for veteran discounts everywhere they go. The ones who hide behind the "mAh Troops!" already disagree with the premise of the protest and believe law enforcement to be infallible.
