    They had said yesterday that he was likely to only play 6 or 7 innings. I think they wanted to get him 3 ab's. He was getting pulled there anyway.

    Thought for sure they were celebrating Messi's goal. 200 wins ok. Good for Verlander. But get to 300 and we can't start talking. Tim Wakefield and Kenny Rogers have 200 + wins. More work to do.

    Nolan Ryan similarly hit 200 wins in his age 35 season. It took him til his age 43 season to get to 300. JV has a long way to go; he'll probably have to pitch to a similar age to hit that number.
