Yao can do no right in JVG's eyes. He plays well and still doesn't get to play in the 4th. I think JVG has some grudge against Yao or something.

No because in a post game quote before, JVG was asked about a similar situation about resting Yao for a 2nd of back to back and JVG said he never looks ahead and only looks to win the current game. Therefore, JVG just flat out hates Yao and wants to see him fail.

A tough decision. who to take out Cato or Mo?...I would have loved to see Yao in the 4th but we also got a game tomorrow night. PS, I would how like to see Yao in the 4th because he was playing great the way he suppose to play.

Um, they had the game in hand. They didn't need Yao to play the 4th. Good move to rest Yao. I don't believe some of the conclusions that you guys come to.

Yao played 33 minutes tonight, in three quarters. Thats a total of 3 minutes of rest. I'd be surprised if he had much left in the tank for the 4th. Why exhaust him even further when the lineup on the court is playing well? Considering the fact that they're playing Boston tomorrow night, I think it was better to let him rest. There was no pressing need to bring him out in the fourth.

He had a terrific night, Rockets won, and yet people complain because he didn't get a chance to pad his stats in the fourth.

Steve Blake is the passer the Rockets need. This guy is making $400,000 because he was drafted in the 2nd round, but he looks like a facsimile of Steve Nash.

You are freaking insane man. He's shifted the focus of the offense to Yao, how is that wishing for Yao to fail? The game wasn't in danger of being lost when Yao was sitting in the 4th, so the smart thing to do is rest the big man for the next game. The team won the game, but you are mad because Yao didn't get a chance to pad his stats. I think you know what that makes you.

I agree. The comments about JVG hating Yao is just absolutely ridiculous. I think some people need to be realistic for a change.

Anyways, now on to Boston tomorrow. If they can pull if off against the Celtics, then I'll be happy.

Brilliant!! What a conclusion. Clearly JVG's success hinges on him making Yao fail. I think you're on the right trail there, Indiana Jones. We all know you could care less about the team and are here for Yao's stats, but the Rockets do have a game tomorrow night and if they had it under control while Yao was resting, there was no need to put him back in ... even if a season-high or some serious stat-padding was within reach.

Did you watch the game? He's a rookie and he was passing the ball all over the place as if he was John Stockton. You do know he was the point guard at Maryland the year after Steve Francis left, right? Maryland won the championship that year.

Yao first lesson to be a tough man. I'm also impressed how he got back up and just dominate. I hope he continues to get the ball in the 4Q.

JVG let steve stay on the court to collect his triple double (16/8/10). Stead, steve collected 2 more TO and almost got a quadruple double 16/8/10/7! so funny.
