    No. He's a minimum vet signing, he's trying to rebuild his reputation. I don't think they want to add to the (misguided) narrative that Houston has a "big three" now with Melo. If they have a big 3 its because they have Capela locked up for a bargain.

    The NBA Champions spend more than the Rockets. Morey has done a great job under the circumstances, but clearly he is not allowed to outspend the Warriors - which is what you need to do, especially when 20m of your cap is locked up.

    On recent Locked on Rockets podcast, they were saying Rockets weren't going to have a rally because they don't want Melo coming in thinking he is the 3rd star of the team. Smart.

    Melo has been eligible to sign with the Rockets for nearly a week. I think maybe there's something going on with him and perhaps he won't become a Rocket.
