    I think that's what he was saying. If you took their ideologies on their own, they wouldn't look similar at all, however, when you add in the tyrannical power that these leaders produced, then that's where you get the similarity.

    Just on that particular issue. In fact, the more I learn about the subject, the more I'm convinced that my initial thoughts were correct.

    Again, we agree Max. I consider myself to be pretty leftist. However, I have always been anti-Stalinist and anti-"communist" to that this means dictatorships. I am against those leftists who try to obtain more justice by using armed force against conservatives who oppose increased economic equality and opportunity for everyone .
