You draft for potential, you don't pay for potential. Especially when you're in win-now mode. And other than being young, strong, and a good defender Winslow hasn't show much potential at all. He's had three seasons already and isn't a very good scorer, ballhandler, or finisher. What is the basis of this so-called potential? What's he supposed to hang his hat on? IMO, he was severely overhyped coming out of college like Marvin Williams and will have a very similar career. If he hasn't shown flashes of brilliance after three seasons of regular rotation time he's a role player. Of course holic would offer them the same amount of money per year we just gave Capela.

Morey is still star hunting. He wants a third bonafide star caliber player and not just for one season or even two. Melo is not being brought in to fill that type of role. That's not a slight towards Melo; that's seemingly not the plan for Melo nor should it be. Averaging an efficient 13-16 PPG is more enough for what we need.
I like his defense. He came back strong after a shoulder injury. He is indeed a role player, that is why I expect Riley to extend him on a relatively cheap contract. His behavior against Embiid was disturbing in the playoffs. He deliberately stepped on his face guard. This may be suggestive of a troubled mind. I would keep away from him.

Getting Winslow and James Johnson for that package would be insane, tbh. Would be a pretty bitter pill for Miami to give up that talent for Koufos. Miami shouldn't have to give up a 2nd. I would easily include Zhou in that deal if needed. But would hold back Melton.
