Melo + (CP3 + Harden) > Melo + (Westbrook + PG13 )

    James Harden > Russell Westbrook

    Lets start with this:
Harden on a team with five players > Westbrook on a team with five players
    i.e. Harden > Westbrook

Then add in CP3 and PG:
Harden on a team with three players and CP3 > Westbrook on a team with three players and PG13
    i.e. Harden + CP3 > Westbrook + PG13

Now realize that Carmelo Anthony is not a constant:
    Melo w/ CP3 and Harden > Melo w/ Westbrook and PG 13
Melo playing with CP3 and Harden will be better than Melo playing with Westbrook and George

    Melo + (CP3 + Harden) > > Melo + (Westbrook + PG13)

Melo doesn’t need to “learn his role”, “grow as a person”, “eat better”, “admit anything”,
and I’m tired of hearing that since Melo didn’t wow everyone in OKC he’s done.

This is all the same triple double sales job they’ve been selling for years now.
Remember at the start of two seasons back “OKC was better than the Rockets”.
Then when OKC wasn’t as good at the Rockets, it was “Westbrook is better than Harden, its just that Harden has a better supporting cast”. And then when the supporting cast was traded to Indiana, and Oladipo becomes an all-star, Donatas Sabonis emerges, and Melo and PG 13 underperform... I mean, c’mon. I like watching Westbrook play hard and dunk and get angry like anyone else, I mean its cool when Westbrook does cool things, but c’mon.

Melo will just be better with CP3 and Harden than he was with Westbrook
    .
The Rockets will have a shot, again, at the Warriors, and OKC won’t even be in the equation.

Harden being better then Russ is a given and CP3 is better then George. If the past playoffs didn’t prove that point then I don’t know!

I couldn't make it through the original post, but I think you may be onto something.

All through 2016-17, we were arguing that Harden made his teammates better, and Westbrick didn't. Don't you guys think that the Melo experiment is the perfect opportunity to put that theory to the test?

I believe in Harden. So honestly, I'm more optimistic than most that Melo will have a big bounce-back year.

    EDIT: F*** it, I.D.I.O.T.

Sorry, but Ariza > Melo. We need some help on the wing.

Not even Trevor Ariza belives in that my friend.

Melo as bad as he was last year, in three games against Rockets he had:
    22pts , 6reb , 7-14 FG
    23pts , 4reb , 8-18 FG
    20pts , 5reb , 8-12 FG

So to do the math for you that's:
    21.66 pts , 5reb , on a .537% FG .... against elite wing defence.

All I'm saying is people severely overrating Ariza. He's good defensively, would be better if he stayed (not for 15 mil though) , but he's replacable, and I am sure his production will be replaced (and upgraded) by Ennis & whoever they get in possible Ryan Anderson trade. Melo will be just a plus there.

This is one of my favorite Melo's videos. He just adds so much offensively that Rockets didn't have last year, to already brutally good offensive team.

He’s a good distributer out of the post too... when he hasn’t got the “I must score now” blinkers on - which is most of the time, but that video clearly shows why. He’s a bully down low especially on mismatches.

He’s in for a big year.

if I didn't know better I'd say this video makes him look like possibly the greatest back-to-the-basket player in the entire history of the game
