I'm wondering what y'all think the minute distribution will look like next season. Granted, it's a bit early, but with the recent rumors about a Ryan Anderson for Bazemore trade floating around, I have a hard time understanding what the front court minutes will look like. Ryan and LMAM leaving frees up approx. 3000 minutes over the course of a season at PF and C. pg CP 30 MCW 16 Gordon 2 minutes avilable: 0 sg Harden 22 Gordon 20 Bazemore 6 minutes available: 0 sf Ennis 20 Harden 10 Green 18 minutes available: 0 pf Tucker 26 melo 22 minutes available: 0 c Capela 30 Nene 14 Melo 4 minutes available: 0 Harden 32 CP 30 Gordon 22 Melo 26 Capela 30 Tucker 26 Ennis 20 Green 18 MCW 12 Bazemore 6 Getting Bazmore would create quite a crowded wing rotation (EG played quite a few minutes at PG when CP was injured, but that should probably be addressed by MCW (or I hope Melton)). What do you think the minutes will look like, and how will the Rockets address the front court rotation?
Assuming we were to get bazemore, there's not way that bazemore gets 6 mins while ennis and green get a combined 38. Bazemore will be getting more minutes then both of them easily.
Do you think Baze would get a lot of SF minutes as well? He's not tall but has a huge wingspan and can defend most SF's pretty well.
I could see him playing SF, especially in small ball. something like CP3/Harden/Baze/Melo/Tucker. This is all just speculation of course.
It's funny how the guys, because of all crap media naratives, attach Melo to bench but they start for them unknown James Ennis and are fine with it, yet they don't belive Ennis can replace even 60% of Ariza's production and Houston is f**ked up if they don't find another wing.......
And it's befuddling to me how anyone could watch last season and not give Harden any minutes at pg. Cp3,Harden, Gordon is the best guard rotation in the league. MCW won't play unless one of them gets hurt. He's obviously the insurance 4th guard. Cp3 30/ Harden 18 Harden 16/ Gordon 28/ Ennis 4 Tucker 16/ Green 20/ Ennis 12 Melo 26/ Tucker 14/ Ryno 8 Capela 28/ Ryno or Nene 20(matchup) 9 man rotation Cp3 30 Harden 34(wishful thinking. Should end up 36ish) Gordon 28 Melo 26 Tucker 30 Green 20 Ennis 16 Capela 28 Ryno 25ish Backup center will be matchup dependent. I can see nene, ryno, tucker all getting minutes.
Stopped reading at MCW at 16 minutes. He will be riding the bench til he proves he can contribute in practice. Right now we got Harden, CP3, Gordon, Green all running the pnr. MCW is here to play defense. Hopefully he can do that.
Yeah that's solid. There's no reason to waste guard minutes on MCW when we have a guard rotation the quality of ours. If anything I'd expect even more Harden-Paul minutes (33 for Paul, 36 for Harden), most likely at the expense of Gerald Green who I can see more in the 15 mpg range. We're certainly going to run Paul-Gordon-Harden out there at the same time once in a while. If a Bazemore or Batum were acquired, then apologies to Gerald Green and James Ennis, but they just got benched.
Assuming we get Bazemore... 240 mins to go around per game. Name. Specialty.
