People that are mentioning Courtney Lee....I don't see the move here. NY would be open to trading him for an expiring contract. But not for Ryan Anderson. I suppose if the Rockets could do the James Johnson/Shumpert additions like I mentioned previously, you could route Shump to NY and get Lee back, however. That...would be interesting to say the least. Key is, NY wants cap space. They aren't going to do a lateral move. They need an expiring back to make any moves.
Man some of these proposals are certainly optimistic... lol. Courtney Lee ain't happening. Knicks are trying to get Jimmy Butler and Kyrie.
Ryno to Sacramento Shump to NY Lee to Houston Works on trade machine. Probably have to throw some picks at Sacramento
You are probably right. But I am not too keen on Anderson+1st for Lee. I am ok with trading a 1st, but would rather get a bit more bang for my buck in that case than Lee. Personally, I'd rather have Bazemore in this case.
Sacto doesn't need Ryno's shooting anymore they already have a glut of power forwards and just signed Nemanja Bjelica who can't shoot like Ryan on a hot streak, he's a better all around player
Love your list!! Only changes I'd make is Aminu over Johnson and Batum over Harkless. But would take any of top 4 w/o complaint.
I already said that the only reasons for the Rockets to not make an Anderson-Batum swap would be the salary ramifications in 2020-2021 or if Tilman is against paying the repeater tax. However, for this season and next, the Rockets are going to be in the luxury tax whether Anderson or Batum are on the roster, and the salary difference between the two each year is roughly 4 million.
Morey would take a guy if the D is good enough. The 3 part just needs to be decent enough for the opposing team to have to at least half-heartedly guard. Neither Luc nor PJ, for example, had histories of being high level 3 point shooters when Morey signed them. Now, guys like Roberson and MKG are a whole different level of "can't shoot."
Guards, Forwards, Centers. He consistently loses his man off-ball. His defensive awareness is not what everyone in here wants to imagine it to be. The defensive woes are because he quite simply isn’t much of a defender, and never has been. (I’d still consider a deal without Ryno obviously)
I dreamt last night Ryan Anderson was trending on twitter... I so was so excited like opening a Christmas present and i click on it and he was traded to Atlanta...
Is his horribleness product of his inability to play good d like isaah thomas or him not being willing to play good defense due to laziness or carrying the bigger load on offense like lebron james?
"Batum" and "like LeBron James" do not belong in the same sentence. Or the same paragraph, for that matter.

my post wasnt about lebron at all i was talking about the principles btw lebron had the worst defensive ratings in the league for the long stretches last season
