Watching these old clips are very nostalgic ... "But, the one of the greatest lies ever told...1993-1996 Lakers did not have alot of talent on those teams." Eddie Jones, Nick Van Exel, Vlade Divac, and Cedric Ceballos were All-star caliber players, along with Elden Campbell. Granted, they weren't the Showtime Lakers from the 1980s, but that team was still pretty good. I know Shaq and Kobe came into the picture, eventually. I do understand Divac and Van Exel being traded. But, that Jones deal was still questionable, whether it was in 1999 or now.

Stockton was ahead of his time. No one at the time could foresaw that the PNR, once viewed as a gimmick, will become the basis of most NBA offenses.It's a simple play but with a quasi infinite amount of possible variations, and Stockton and Malone mastered them all. Stockton's ability to shoot jump shots and to hit one-handed passes (with both hands) through tight windows while on the move combined with Malone's ability to pop or roll equally well made countering their PNR nearly impossible.
