I read some article saying Kawhi was jealous of the way other teams treated their stars. Kawhi was at all-star weekend seeing his contemporaries in fancy cars while he was in some kind of team caravan or something (I don't remember the exact form of transportation he was provided by the team). I wouldn't be surprised if Pop pulled some corny bullsh-t like this with Kawhi trying to be funny. Kawhi was probably pissed and no one knew because he has no emotions.
I mean, if thats true, how can he really b**** about that when there was a story about him in his own used Tahoe going through a fast food drive thru using coupons?
Imagine Pop offering a car at practice (trying to be funny) because he knows how sh-itty Kawhi's car is. Kawhi could take that a couple ways: He could take it like he is being teased by his head coach or he can take it like Pop is going to give him a real car (I don't think that's legal, but does Kawhi know that?) if he works hard in practice then gets a toy. Kawhi obviously wanted to be treated differently than his teammates. Pop assumed he could continue to treats everyone the same. I'm not saying Pop is doing any of this; I'm not being serious. I'm putting scenarios in my head on how Pop's corniness could have gone wrong. Im trying to connect the dots on why Kawhi would have soured on the franchise all of sudden.
