addressing critics of integrating Melo..."first it was James couldn't play PG; then [JH, CP3) couldn't play together; now we got one more big step ..."
Dude is exactly right. This team may not win at the clip it did last year, but barring any changes beyond adding Melo, it won't take a step back. It is still the second-best team in the conference, and likely the second-best in the league (unless Celts explode with a healthy Hayward and Irving, or Kawhi has a MVP season for that Toronto team). If they can make a deal during the season, look the freak out...
He forgot to mention the 99% of Rockets fans and basketball followers that doubted him when he got the Rockets job.
I love the Rockets just as much as you do. I hope Melo will sign and play well for our Rockets. I want him to succeed, despite my doubts about him.
I only say what I believe. I honestly want the Rockets to win. Sometimes, I'm skeptical, because the competition is getting more fierce. Whenever the Rockets play well, I get very happy. I do expect a lot from them, even though they clearly overachieved to get so far in the WCF's. I do feel that most of the time, I'm realistic. One can certainly have a different opinion. I can respect that. There are people who know a lot more than I do. I was very sad with Chris Paul's loss. I believe that Houston would have knocked out GSW in Game 7, if he wasn't hurt. I thought that Houston lost it's only opportunity, but I was proud of the players that represented Houston with honor.
