Of guys that actually played in the 3 point era Dwayne Wade Rip Hamilton Jordan Tony Parker Karl Malone
Range is all about technique, the less power you have to put in a shot means the better range you have. That's why Curry kills it and all the catapult athletic jumpshots are far worse outside. The ammount of strength they'd have to put in shooting from the outside compared to midrange is too big and the form+parabole is affected. While midget like curry just shots it the same no matter if its free throws or 10 feet outside of 3pt area
Could this include players before they started shooting 3s? Because Al Horford shoots well above 50% from midrange for his entire career, long before he became a volume 3 point shooter.
Here, I think, is the best 3pt shooter without FT range: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bowenbr01.html
Seems like Shaun Livingston doesn't miss when we play GSW. I dread every time he pulls up with his unorthodox jumper.
Rip Hamilton was the Klay Thompson of the mid range. Fast release, laser accuracy, always running around screens and a good defender.
