    Congrats to Clint Capela. One of the few guys that is genuinely easy to root for. Hardly seems possible when I think back to those first few "deer in the headline" moments he had. Really incredible how far he has come and that is a complete tribute to his mental toughness and work ethic.

    Hope he retires a Rocket!

    Look like you're right, @YOLO. Color me surprised. Gotta be because he's only 23 and will be just entering his prime in year 5.

    I'm also convinced the recent gambling decision is going to lead to an influx of $$$ into NBA coffers, bumping the cap up once again. In a few years, this deal is going to look as sweet as that contract we signed Ariza to.

    Excellent deal. One thing we should keep in mind is that, Clint normally kills Boogie on the offensive end. In P/R situations, Boogie will either have to switch on harden/CP3 to get chopped up or hedge off Capela, leading to Lob after Lob. I'm still kinda wondering if he'll be strong enough to guard Boogie in the post though. That was Nene's assignment when we faced Cousins in the past. But the way Clint manhandled every center in the playoffs, leaves me with little doubt about his Defense. He's turn himself into a Elite paint protector. That alone is worth that contract.

    May he stay hungry and keep that motor! Very happy for both the team and C.C. He and Harden work so well together and it looks like they can for another half decade or so, through Harden's prime.

    A front loaded people probably would put them way over the CAP and what owner wants to pay them taxes if he doesn't have to.
