i like the freakout before training camp even starts.

Save the freakout for October at least. who the hell care if he starts, we are so thin at the wings anyway right now, Melo should start

 

Maybe Morey and MDA are selfish for letting Melo be a starter.

I love how upset this has made some of you. But you did this to yourself by demanding he come off the bench. This is on you.

 

Melo could start on this team when we play 70% of NBA teams. The other 30% is what CP is going to have to get Melo to chill.

So are a lot of guys. Ron Artest thought he was black Jesus, as did Vernon Maxwell.

Maybe he will gain an edge as a third option in the greatest offense ever assembled. Maybe we have yet to see Carmelo in a top flight organization with the greatest passing backcourt to ever exist.

I am hopeful. He has the talent, even still.

It's a Help me to Help you situation between the Rockets and Melo. Rockets can't even justify not starting Melo. When he's a better player than anyone on their bench and the starter they had last year. Don't @ Me!

 

Capela had one of your better ORTG and DRTG vs the Warriors for 1.

2. I’d play him because you want as many threats as possible on the floor. Now if you’re up say 3 possessions late in the 4th I’d go with more defense so that’s fine but to say he’s unable to play against them is a stretch. Even with the Thunder Melo had a positive net rating in 3 of the 4 match ups.

 

I can say this because I have watched a lot of Rockets games and I know how they play. I could be wrong, of course, but I'm saying this based off of my experience watching the Rockets play. I'm not just making it up based on nothing.

Disagree. Players, especially really talented ones, are usually the last to realize that they don't have it anymore. Pretty sure Barkley has used this criticism on himself when reviewing the end of his playing career.

Don't worry about that. There are plenty of people on here who like to crap on Harden, and one really loud person here who likes to crap on Capela.

 

Again they met in Vegas. I’m pretty sure that all this has been sorted out.

In a perfect world, Melo comes off of the bench after we trade for Jimmy Butler later in the season.

 

Hoping CP3 can make him play better defense and maybe he can be the first sub if he is not playing well..

1. We haven't seen the Rockets with Melo however so it’s still tough to gauge. I’ll be the first to point out if he’s better suited off the bench but then again it’s semantics because of the way you rotate minutes.

2. I can see that but I think Melo is referencing the whole “washed” thing. Do you think he’s “washed”

Has he, through any interview so far, showed any willingness to do anything else but start?If the coach wants him to start that's all fine but his answers thus far have pointed to the fact that he's only gonna play his way. He literally said that in fact. His mind is in 2010 but his body is in 2018.

 

Again if this is common knowledge that he’s going to or wants to start and the Rockets are signing him then what does that mean?

That’s why I said every he has to come off the bench Post was ridiculous. Now if he does it’s fine but clearly that was never part of the Rockets plan.

 

At lease we know he's not scared to shoot.

 

It's gonna be an easy job for coach MDA. it's gonna be all ISO play if 3 of them are on the court at the sme time.
