Beating the hell outta the Wolves tonight. Duncan and Robinson have been unstoppable. Is there any team that can stop the Spurs. It seems like they are a mismatch for anybody they face. Derek Anderson adds a consistent outside shot and penetration. Antonio Daniels is playing well also. Who else thinks that they are the team to beat?

The Lakers can stop the Spurs. So can the Mavs if they get that far.

The T'Wolves are playing w/ an injured Terrel Brandon, Minnesota is not that bad.

I definitely think the Spurs are the team to beat. A series with the Lakers could go either way, although I would probably have to go with San Antonio.

I feel so bad for KG. Did any of you hear his postgame interview? He was so dejected and just seemed to want to say, "I am just SOOOO tired of this." But he remained positive with his comments, even though in his voice he was noticeably upset.

Woo Hoo the spurs are beating an 8th seed minnesota who's point guard is injured, yeah we can really tell by this series that the spurs are playing like champions [IMG].

The timberwolves are not a team you can measure a championship team by. I seriously doubt the spurs will survive a jazz team (if they win) in a 7 game series, let alone the lakers.

Why feel sorry for Garnett? If he's as good as everyone says, he'd have made it out of the first round by now. Instead he's getting whipped by Duncan AGAIN.

Duncan is the better player. Garnett has no back to the basket game IMO.

But Duncan isn't as good a defender, passer or ball-handler as Garnett is.

The Spurs just have more talent.

I agree Garnett's a better ballhandler/passer, but I disagree that he's a better defender. Better shotblocker? yes, but Duncan is just as good a post defender as he is. Also, Garnett's dribbling ability isn't a big factor in his offensive game, so that aspect shouldn't be an advantage for him. Not to mention that Garnett can be worn down if you pound it on him.

Garnett needs major help before the T-Wolves get out of the first round.

You really don't think so? I mean, I'm not trying to start anything here, but I think that if it is indeed a Spurs/Jazz 2nd round, that will be the most lopsided series of ANY in the second round. The Spurs are playing fantastic basketball right now...you're right, they're playing against a slightly depleted Minnesota team, but they are STILL playing VERY strong basketball right now.

The Spurs owned the Jazz during the regular season, and IMO, the Spurs have never been playing better ball than they are right now. I don't think the Jazz stand much of a chance at all, should they get past the Mavericks.

Now, quick, everybody decide if I'm right or if I just hate the Jazz too much. [IMG]

    Not from the draft anyway.

But really, if the Wolves could add a big man and get Garnett to shoot more, they could be a 5th seed and not a perennial 8th seed.

Minnesota isn't exactly a free agent hotbed. Not many guys want to play there.

Wow, so you think that a spurs/jazz series would be very lopsided? I think that is crazy. I hate the jazz as much as the next guy , but if they play each other it will not be lopsided.

I know I got to this topic kind of late, but I have to disagree here. I think between the defensive ability of Robinson and Duncan, Malone gets completely neutralized in this matchup. After Malone, who are the Jazz going to come at San Antonio with? Donyell Marshall? Bryon Russel? These guys cannot hold the Spurs jockstraps, and that will be very apparent come the second round.
