I am currently looking for something cheap. Just the computer - don't need monitor etc.
I need to be at least 16 GB of Ram and thinking i5 or above CPU

Mainly looking for something to do some video editing
    New or Used

What are the good spots around town?

    dell.com/outlet

Get coupon codes from twitter.com/delloutlet or slickdeals.net deals forum.

Or, build your own using pcpartpicker.com. For video editing, I'd make sure to have at least a decent SSD as the primary drive.

    https://www.evga.com/products/featured-bundles.aspx

On the bottom you will see a link for a bundle for $999 which includes EVGA 1080 Ti + EVGA Motherboard, + EVGA 850w G3 gold power supply + EVGA Z370 Motherboard + EVGA Liquid Cooling + EVGA Case.

    That's a solid bundle package!

Slap on a CPU, 16GB Ram, and a SSD and you are good to go!

Rakuten has 20% site-wide coupon today. Use the coupon and score a 500GB or 1TB Samsung EVO SS.

If you have a Microcenter near you, get a i7-8770k for cheap.

    Newegg or Amazon for memory.

If you dont need the top end video card, then downgrade to 1070 and go for 64GB RAM since it will help with video editing. Memory prices are very slowly coming down.

    Good luck.

PS. I just built a dual 4K system for myself two weeks ago, and 1080 Ti handles everything like a champ. Also went for a 1TB of NvMe m.2 SATA SSD. 6 times faster than a regular SSD. PC shuts down in less than 2 seconds and boots up in less than 6. Blazing fast and worth it. Dont know what's your budget but if you can swing it, go for it.

I got 3 perfectly fine computers off Craigslist for $200/piece. All do what I need them to do.

    These requirements are vague.

If it's just for streaming and occasional work, look at mac minis to hook up to tv

Dude, you don't need one computer for work, one for cfnet, and one for p*rn. You just need three monitors.

^A used Mac Mini will usually have those requirements. Have to learn to use a Mac, but you'll get cool points to whoever's viewing your product for knowing how to handle one.

You just need 2 monitors. 1 for work and the other for CF/p*rn

if you aren't watching p*rn while posting on CF, you're doing it wrong.
