Link: I imagine everyone is aware of the backstory. Owens finally gets selected to HoF. Decides not to attend. Now the HoF is deciding to not mention him at all during the ceremony. I didn't look, but imagine there are already threads on Owen skipping the ceremony, so I won't add that as a question (but do feel free to share your thoughts on that, as they are probably relevant to the question here). Should the HoF have done this? Is this just spite to get back at Owen's for snubbing them, or, as they claim, simply focusing on those who are there? Should the HoF have taken the high road here?
When the entire class is the subject, his name will be included … just as his image will be included on all depictions of the Class of 2018. He just won’t be individually announced. That seems appropriate.
