    So Lakers GM Rob Pelinka talked publicly this week about how he and Magic are constructing the Lakers' roster specifically to take down Golden State? He even mentioned the Rockets specifically in his comments:
    Funny how when Morey said pretty much the same thing during the last year, the entire Warriors organization threw shade at him. Most of the media, too. And if I recall, a big percentage of CFers.

    LOL, what? The Lakers need to worry about catching up to the Jazz and Thunder before they even start to think about the Rockets or Warriors.

    They seriously seem to think that this is the eastern conference and that having LeBron instantly makes them better than everybody except the Warriors.

    His royal highness is in for a rude awakening.

    Pelinka has the right idea in theory. But shoehorning in Rondo/Stevenson etc to fill that defensive bulldog mentality is a stretch at this point. That's not really who they are. More what they used to be. They are wild cards on 1yr placeholder contracts.

    But Pelinka is giving his Laker fans something to grab onto.

    Hey, Pelinka, it's flattering you are trying to copy Bzdelic's defense, but you forgot the offense side of the Rockets equation,,,which remains worse than the Cavs -- having spacing problems for Lebron, so the whole 3/layups/free throws concept will break down has the lane clogs.

    But media will say, Lakers can play Rockets defense, so they are just as good ... because Lebron
