The man is coming off his first official MVP season (should be 2nd) but can he level up again at this point in his career? (Get even better) I think the answer is yes. Defensively and leadership wise. I'm sure he'll learn alot from cp3 and continue to evolve his game over time. What do you guys think?
Harden has improved every season he has been with the Rockets. Even in the disastrous 41-41 season he put up historic numbers. Of course we talk about Defense and his Leadership, but I think the next evolution of his game is to use all his tools and moves in one season. Harden tends to completely abandon moves season to season. imagine in the midst of the 0-27 three point debacle in the WCF, Harden pulled out the turn-around mid range jumper that made him an MVP candidate the first time. The next step for Harden's game is using all his moves at once in one season. Putt it all together, he might be unstoppable.
He's become a layup-or-3 guy on offense. He needs more mid-range game to balance out his offense. As we have seen, the 3s won't save you when they go south. And, when the 3s aren't falling, don't expect to be getting to the rim. You gotta go to the in-between realm.
the guy never ceases to make your eyes pop in new ways. both sides of his brain deliver pure genius in the game of bball
one thing i don't think he uses enough. his floater. pretty high convert rate. not taken advantage of nearly enough imo
The longer he plays, the slower the game will get and hes only 28...the only thing stopping him is physical declines from aging and hes not near that.
woo-hoo, this is the 3rd "How can Harden Improve" thread this summer, and I've made 1st page each time. As in the other two threads, aside from better and better stamina training, a new thing he can work on this summer is: Finishing with his Right Hand/going Right.
I would like for him to work out his stamina off the court and energy efficiency on the court. Warriors game plan to tire him out through the playoff gauntlet wasn't groundbreaking. It's what other teams did and have done in the past. The thing is that he probably has more stamina and usage than other superstars, so he's gotta work smarter along with the harder. I'm his biggest fan when it comes to his commitment, passion, work ethic, and drive.
He definitely needs to use it, especially in the playoffs, when the zebras are swallowing their whistles. If he works on it during the off season, he will be to use it as a potent weapon.
Ehhhh.. he’ll improve and kill it in the regular season. I just want him to be closer to his regular season form in the playoffs. Incredible player and I’m glad we have him.... and don’t quote me with his playoff numbers I have two eyes and he’s not the same player
