I don't think people gloss over human abuse, but there is something sinister about someone someone who abuses an animal in terms of psychosis. I think the only thing more defenseless is a young child. I think this is why people sympathize so much. -If I was that woman I would have left? Why didn't she leave? etc. etc. used to rationalize a little When it comes to kids and then animals, people look in their own life and see how helpless these are and realize how sick someone would have to be to intentionally hurt them repeatedly for enjoyment.

So according to the woman's attorney the robbers asked specifically for jewelry McCoy gave her... and apparently he told her to give it back because she could be robbed since it was so expensive. This story is going to be crazy.
That is why more people in the world need to see videos of factory farming. And is the reason it is outlawed to film there. Because it is hideous in every aspect.
