I would've loved the Luc prior to that Lakers game, but we would've had no way of knowing if that's the guy we were gonna get. He was so rattled after that second dislocated shoulder that D'Antoni actually gave minutes to Johnson and Ryno instead of playing Luc. And it cost us big-time in that 2nd half of Game 7 when the Warriors made their run. Imagine if we'd had a capable defender out there instead of Ryno.
The Thunder couldn't make things work with Oladipo. I'm not saying there aren't major concerns with Melo, but there's something about Westbrook's style and Donovan's coaching that could be holding that franchise back as well.
@zeeshan2 buried a tweet in one of these threads saying that Nunnally's representation thinks the Rockets have moved on.
I'm ALMOST there. i think drafting melton was a steal. i'm loving how joe is developing. i'm happy we didn't overpay ariza and mbah. i wish mbah took the minimum for 1 year. after taxes the difference would've only been 800k and you can play for a championship. but if he's more into the money then i'm cool with him leaving too. i was hoping we'd get a steal for the MLE like evans, thad young, barton, gay... but no luck there. melo will still be a steal but not AS good of a fit because of attitude/defense. if ennis gets bzdeliks endorsement on defense then i'm ok with him. hopefully the shooting is better or at least even with ariza. the last thing really that i'd need is to put ryno's 20 mill to use by trading for anyone who can make the playoff rotation.
Hopefully he's as much of a surprise contributor as Luc was. I don't remember remember anyone expecting much from Luc either, but when fully healthy he was just as valuable as PJ was, which is to say a lot.
