To me it starts with the owner! He is a rookie owner and it is showing. I don’t know, why start penny pinching now when this is your window for a chip? Go all in now and if you don’t get as far OR FURTHER next year~ then start scaling back

not wanting to pay ariza all that cash, okay

but not keeping LRMM over a less than $2M difference, that was inexcusable.

Separated his shoulder twice last year and will probably dislocate it again in the future....not a big loss.

We really don't. JH is the MVP and a half away from the finals, players should be kicking doors down to get here.

Truth. Sometimes the greatest calculated risk is trusting your evaluation of a player's potential relative to his contract rather than simply signing a guy to an overpaid deal because he played well for you before.

As a general rule....ALWAYS CHECK THE BYLINE. That is where "context" starts. Where you know how fair the analysis will be. This absolutely matters because we live in an age where agendas are king.

Not everything I read has to be glowing about the Rockets. Just as long as I know the author is above board.

I mean he did make sure our second most important piece is staying by giving him $160 million. I’m not understanding how the term penny pinching is used in that sentence.

Not willing to pay $30 million (including luxury tax) for two guys surely not improving is literally the best move you can make. The only way I would have hesitated and paid out Ariza is if it was a team we were competing with that he was going to. We will survive him telling Phoenix our secrets.
