Yup but MDA was a bum in New York without a PG. The issues were very deep there but obviously the main story would be Melo vs MDA.

Knicks got better when MDA left and MDA is a better coach now then he was in NY.

 

Ariza won a championship with the Lakers. He's a proven winner. He's also a great defender. Luc is a great defensive player and very efficient with his scoring (when healthy). Melo is old, grumpy, and plays zero defense. Sure he can hit 3s but he wasn't much a factor during the playoffs last season with OKC. I remember he had one really good game and that's it. So yes, if he takes the minimum, we'll take him. But he's not going to push us over the top at this stage in his career.

Ariza and Luc were, when healthy, two of our 7 best players. They were also two of our top 4 defenders. We have no money left. Show me where we can upgrade, and no, Melo is not an upgrade.

 

Replacements? We have MCW. That dude can ball. Did yall see him last season and the seasons before? He's the real deal and a great defender. All we gotta do is add Melo and we're good. Yeah Melo is stubborn and won't adjust his game and dissappears on defense, but he's MELO. That's all we need. His name evokes fear in others. You'll see him step up on defense once CP3 goes down with another injury. Melo+MCW will wreck the league. Believe in this team! Nobody ever wants to play in Houston so there will be no real replacements. We're good!

Damn yall act like Ryan Anderson is just useless. He's helped the Rockets win many games. Just him being out there on offense is beneficial for the team. No matter how many times he misses opposing teams will 'think' he'll make it if he gets a shot off. In basketball it really is the thought that counts. He opens up more space for Harden and Paul to operate. Stop whining about the contract. It is what it is. But yall cant tell me he cant be useful during the regular season (like he has been). Trade him at the deadline before the playoffs since thats when we all know he can't contribute.
