Terrible offseason. Melo is a downgrade to Ariza, now it's a monumental downgrade with Luc gone. I have no idea what these guys are doing.
Left over less than $1.5 million, less when factoring in taxes. So much for "pick of free agents" and the idea that players were eager to play here for discounts. Can't even #runitback without paying full market price lol.
The Rocks will be fine. Green was filling one of their roles anyway as were some of the rookies and free agent signings. Hopefully Carmelo is in the cards.
Basically would have taken all of our taxpayer MLE to keep him. Losing him and Ariza is a brutal blow to our defense. Morey better have a plan for that MLE we chose not to use on Luc. If in fact it is Melo, how in the f**k are we gonna get stops.
Whatever. Dude's shoulder will never be the same, and he will forever be haunted by those injuries every time he drives to the basket. Will definitely miss his defense, but I think we will be ok. Ya'll quit trippin on Morey.
Ouch, this is terrible. Ariza was one thing, but the combination of Ariza and Moute leaving is absolutely devastating for our defense. Morey needs to find a really good defensive wing now, or two. A James Ennis or Aaron Afflalo isn't going to fix this, Melo isn't fixing it, we need some real defense wings or our defense will be absolutely hopeless.

Never said he could but I do think he could play 20 minutes and add good depth. Seems like a solid role player who has played well on really bad teams. Paul and Harden would do wonders for these kind of hidden role players. Look what they did to Luc? I would start Tucker at the 3 with Carmelo and Anderson manning the 4 unless of course we can swap Anderson with something of value.
Melo can't replace Ariza or Luc, assuming he ends up here, and anyone who thinks he can has lost his or her mind. Both wings were key to our remarkable turnaround last season on defense. Those two and CP3, of course, as well as Capela's big improvement on defense over the previous year. That, and our new defensive coach, Jeff Bzdelik. He's been a godsend. He's the main reason I haven't left the house to look for a bus to step in front of. Our Luc has run out, dammit. Fingers crossed that we get Ennis. I think it would help a lot.

Ariza had to get that 15 million! Boogie couldn't get it! alot of players taking what they can get! We have our core and when your Broke like the Rockets you got to wait on deals... IE Melo... etc.. rest will fall into place!
Seriously. "We'll have our pick" has meant we got to sign a guy that probably couldn't get a job anywhere else in MCW.
