Wow, i can't wait to see Belgium playing in the wc semis.
My parnets and my brothers got to see them playing in 1986 but i was born too late.
Going to be tough vs France but im optimistic, while frightened mostly about our defense.

    Allez La Belgique

He is a legend and i kinda like the reailty show they did about his family, eventhough i didn't watch a lot of it.
We have Courtois now, I hope that he will take us one step forward to the finals

Think technically Neymar was fouled, I mean getting hit in the face after beating your opponent and going for a header, but I do like the no call for two reasons, he wasn't going to get to that header anyway and it's karma. Think the same thing on the end line where the brazili was fouled, he was never going to do anything with that ball so don't decide the game on that. And Karma. Shame it has to be that way, but the ref are technically applying the knowledge they have to any incident if Neymar is involved, so I don't mind the no calls.

Oh, and great save. Although with a nose like that Courtois should stop everything. Still brilliant.

I don't know about that, there was very limited contact to Neymar's face and it wasn't intentional. In my eyes that would have been a very weak call.

You must add in Purd'homme to that list of Belgium great Keepers and make a strong case for best keepers of Europe of the last 30yrs, of course Germany must be mentioned!

Belgium and France have been mighty impressive but I think it’s not as impressive as making it out of the group stages 7 times in a row and losing in the R16.

    THAT is consistency.

The Thierry Henry game. France vs Belgium. (I guess Deschamps didn't feel like Henry could add anything to his staff.)

In all seriousness this is a match involving two teams with for the most part the players winning in spite of the coaches.

France vs Uruguay- Deschamps substitutions are mind boggling. I don't know if he actually legit thinks through it or has his assistants do so.
The match vs Argentina, Matuidi gets a yellow and is basically suspended for this match vs Uruguay...who does Deschamps sub out? Matuidi! For What??? He's already suspended. Pogba was a card away from suspension and he left him on. Luckily Pogba didn't get booked.
This match vs Uruguay- Tolisso, Pogba, Pavard and Giroud all a booking away from a suspension. Who does he sub? Brings in Nzonzi for Tolisso(Matuidi returns next game so it doesn't matter if Corentin picks up a booking), and Dembele for Mbappe. WTF? Luckily again it has worked out for him.

Belgium vs Brazil- Tactically Martinez outclasses Descamps and one can't complain about the Fellaini-Chadli masterful subs in the Japan game. Vs Brazil, he chose to start Chadli...dangerous but understandable given the fact he'd been starting Carrasco on the left and that would've been terrible today. By the 70th minute, the Belgian players understandable were showing fatigure. What does Martinez do? Hold off on the subs. Time to make a sub, perhaps bring in Dries Mertens for fresh legs up front and to help Hazard in running at defenders and keeping Brazil honest. Nope. Perhaps bring in Dembele to shore up the midfield? Nope. Luckily it worked out for him.

I can't even predict Belgium-Brazil. Great players on both sides, perhaps Martinez tactically out maneuvers Deschamps(Not difficult).

I hope England take Sweden seriously because that Swedish side are trouble. The kind of side that gives England trouble.
Difficult to break down. Masters in dark arts(but not whiny cheats like a few teams that exited the tournament this week).

    2nil to the Engerlund!

Has there been a Brazilian striker as easy to dislike as Neymar? I can't remember another striker from Brazil that I despise like I do Neymar.
Crazy cos he is obviously talented and it's easy to forget that he is just behind Ronaldo and Pele for top goal scorer of all time in Brazil history.
But he is such an absolute ****! He and Luis Suarez would easily start up front on Most hated/despised World XI team. (Diego Costa would give competition but he has a way to go to catch up to both).

Nope. I have liked so many Brazilian forwards midfielders... Ronaldo, Bebeto, Romario, Ronaldinho, Kaka...Very good to great players but also likable.

Neymar is just a punk. I can not stand him and his antics.

Same goes for Suarez. Cant see how anyone can like an adult habitual biter lol...

this world cup has been satisfying thus far. ronaldo and messy out early in the knockout stages. punkass neymar, coutinho and suarez rabbit out soon after. the only thing better is if those 4 doesn't get past the group stages, but i'll take this as well. oh also forgot about spain, lulz. wow very satisfying indeed.

i do feel for my german brehs. it's about time they rebuild anyway and this early exit could give them that sense of urgency.
